DIAMANTE – 1987

1 Jan

Well this one just blasted out of the computer speakers and into our ears. And we’re not one bit sorry. What a rollickingly fun way to discover DIAMANTE. From the single artwork you just know you’re in for a sonic treat. The styling is absolutely sensational and boy is there a killer tune to back it up. ‘1987’ fires out of the gates like Kim Wilde at her rockiest (think ‘I’ve Got So Much Love’, ‘King Of The World’ or ‘Kandy Krush’ and you’re on the way) with some Pat Benatar and Paramore references too. DIAMANTE has vocal chops and charisma in bucketloads. A new album is set to follow later in the year and there’s even talk of a UK live date. One to watch! Oh and there’s some ‘1987’ merch on the DIAMANTE website which looks to die for – the font alone is dreamy.
