RYAL – Care Of You

31 May

We love a bit of Jacque Ryal. She’s made some more gorgeous, warm synthpop heaven on ‘Care For You’, which has the elegance of Roisin Murphy about it.

Érica – NOCRYWAVE

31 May

I don’t know a whole lot about Érica but I think she’s from Brazil and she appears to make very cool indie electronica. Her new album is entitled ‘Beauitful’.  I am finding ‘NOCRYWAVE’ rather hypnotic.

Keljet – Leap Of Faith (featuring ASHA)

31 May

Big fan of Keljet – especially in terms of choice of collaborators. ASHA’s vocals on ‘Leap Of Faith’ are storming. Large bop alert.

Tess Roby – Ballad 5

31 May

Gorgeous new hazy summer indie jam from Italians Do It Better. Tess Roby’s ‘Ballad 5’ features on IDIB’s summer sampler CD ‘Cruise Control’ which is available from their store right now.

Katiya Falcone – Lust Is A Ride Through Hell

31 May

One of my favourite tunes from the past month or so now has a video. I’m looking forward to more music from Katiya because this is a belter.

Vivienxo – TTYN

30 May

Russian born singer + Finnish electro production = Annie meets Ronika with a potty mouth chorus. Also…..it’s brilliant 80s bubblegum pop.

Vanessa Elisha – Dark and Lonely

30 May

Lovely late night jam from another of Australia’s best kept secrets – RnB princess in the making Vanessa Elisha. She has a whole batch of tunes which are up there with Sidibe, Tinashe and George Maple. ‘Dark and Lonely’ is divine.

Touch Sensitive – Lay Down

30 May

This guy totally deserves to be mentioned in the same sentence as fellow Aussies Flume and Flight Facilities. He’s back with the very cool vibe of ‘Lay Down’ which also mixes in a bit of Miami Horror and Brendan Maclean. Gosh the Aussie electronic music scene is so good.

Muna – So Special

29 May

Still the pop album of the year. I simply cannot recommend Muna’s ‘About U’ album enough. Bops with heart.

Fifi Rong – The Same Road

29 May

Featured this one a couple of weeks ago but here’s the video. Couple more weeks to wait for the single to appear on iTunes though.
