Cat Power feat Angel Haze – Manhattan (Ryan Hemsworth remix)

Just when you thought Cat Power’s Sun album couldn’t be improved upon, along comes this remix which takes the song somewhere different entirely evoking New Look and Jessie Ware.

Alison Valentine – Warm Winter’s Day

Alison’s track Peanut Butter rocked my world last year and is still a mainstay on many of my playlists. Delighted to discover a new track from her which is the best thing Mariah forgot to include and undersing on her debut album back in 1990.

LIZ – XTC/Underdogs

Going for a bit of pure pop mixed with early 90s Janet/Brandy. Don’t know a whole lot about LIZ but she looks cute and the tunes are promising.

She & Him – Volume 3 in May!

Yes indeed Ms Deschanel and Mr Ward are back with volume three in May. The album is made up of mainly original tracks with just a few covers. Here’s a reminder of why we love them so!

Chad Valley feat Twin Shadow – I Owe You This

Two of my favourite artists of the moment come together on this newly released video. Hopefully there’s still time for both of their albums to have a second lease of life and at least a little commercial success. In the meantime both are putting out some seriously good remix tuneage – most recently with Twin Shadow taking Sky Ferreira’s Everything Is Embarrassing right into the middle of the dancefloor.

Woodkid – Run Boy Run

Absolutely epic tune. The Golden Age album drops in March and could beat The Knife by a few weeks to be the first masterpiece of the year.

Owlle – Ticky Ticky

Keeping it Continental but this time something a little French. I found Owlle via an awesome Moonlight Matters remix of her track Disorder (the original version of which appears on the Ticky Ticky EP).

Chordashian – Cold Nights

My favourite electronic disco kids of the moment released this Lana Del Rey sampling little gem earlier today – and it’s free via their Soundcloud.
