Macy Todd – Bump That

30 Oct

If there was one fellow blogger I had to signpost you to it would be Wonky Sensitive. I find so much amazing music over there and this track is yet another example. Buried away in their pick of twenty or so new videos I find this absolute gem. Organic disco bop with Debbie Gibson-like vocals? So into it. And the video nails it too.

Maja Francis – Saved By The Summer

30 Oct

Maja always manages to visualise her songs so perfectly and she’s done it again with the hazy colours on display with ‘Saved By The Summer’. Maja tell us an album is coming at some point?

The Sound Of Arrows – Don’t Worry

29 Oct

So ‘Stay Free’ is the beautiful new record by the Sound Of Arrows. It’s a gorgeous listen and full of highlights like this one. ‘Don’t Worry’ is a song about modern day problems but ones which can be soothed by the power of music. It’s always been my best medicine.

Shadowlark – See Each Other Right

29 Oct

There’s something instantly both classy and classic about this Leeds three piece. I am smitten with ‘See Each Other Right’ which sounds like a perfect song for nighttime driving or walking around a neon-lit city. Loving the little subtle production touches. So much to enjoy through headphones with this one.

Shy Shy Shy – Beautiful Boys & Girls

28 Oct

Here’s the crazy colourful new video from Shy Shy Shy.  I featured the popalicious song itself a few weeks back and it’s still sounding ace.

MOBS – Drive Away

28 Oct

Why am I only just hearing this Aussie band’s poptastic EP? ‘Drive Away’ is Cameo covering Whitney’s ‘How Will I Know’ with Penguin Prison remixing. I’m right no?

The Knocks & Captain Cuts – House Party

28 Oct

This is a whole tonne of fun. Loving the disco house mash up and there is a tiny bit of INXS in there too (yep, I hear an almost but not quite bit of ‘Need You Tonight’ on that guitar).
