The Dark Flowers (feat Kate Havnevik) – Fast Forest Rain
I recently found this album due to the fact that one of my favourite vocalists, Shelly Poole, sings on several tracks on the album. I am similarly a fan of Kate Havnevik so buying this is a bit of a no brainer. Beautifully crafted songs and musicianship shine through here. Exquisite.
So here’s my instant favourite from Sheryl’s new album Feels Like Home. I love it when Sheryl lets that raspy voice of hers really rip as she does here. There are some gorgeous slowies on the album too – Waterproof Mascara being the other highlight.
Blogging this again as the EP was released earlier today. As well as this track the EP also includes the equally wonderful I Will lead You On.
Banks – This Is What It Feels Like
Banks continues with her flawless output in 2013. Song and video are equally gorgeous. An album of material like this in 2014 is much needed.
Better than anything on her debut album, Charli XCX returns already with this delicious little poptastic nugget.

The most delayed album EVER is finally getting a release (Stateside at least). The latest single and video is here and I am loving the Kim Wilde meets Cocteau Twins sound and visuals.
Diana Vickers – Music To Make Boys Cry
Diana’s 2nd album just nipped inside the top 40 this week. It’s a shame it didn’t place higher as it’s a lovely little gimmick-free pop album. Here’s the title track from the album which is also the new single.
Bright Light Bright Light – An Open Heart
More BLx2 music already? We are being truly spoiled. Rod cranks up the 80s synths on this track from his new EP, due in November. Sounds very Kim Wilde circa 1984 to me and this could easily have come from the Teases and Dares LP this very blog is named after. And back to Rod, he remains faultless.
