Skott – Mermaid

19 Jul

This one could easily be mistaken for a gorgeous new Lana track after the first few bars. It is however Norwegian pop goddess Skott. ‘Mermaid’ is her best yet.

Grace Lightman – Halloween Is Over

19 Jul

How we love Grace’s Lynch inspired spook pop. Yet to top the divine ‘Faultless’ but this one is pretty darn stunning all the same.

FRAME – State Of Mind

19 Jul

FRAME’s ‘State Of Mind’ blends Glass Candy-esque icy Italo indie with Ralph’s disco folk in a rather cool way. The album of the same name follows in September.

Feiertag featuring David Harks – Bunraku

17 Jul

Loving this one. It feels like it could be from the Fleetwood Mac ‘Tango In The Night’ era yet given a modern, electronic indie twist.

Carmen Villain – Red Desert

17 Jul

Carmen’s sophomore record ‘Infinite Avenue’ drops in September via Smalltown Supersound. New taster track ‘Red Desert’ is simply divine. A smokey, slightly psychedelic vibe covers this one – so lovely.

dné – Driving a Car/Unnecessary Conversations

17 Jul

This comes from one of the best records from last year in the form of ‘These Semi Feelings, They Are Everywhere’. Spot on visuals for this electronic meets classical masterpiece.

Penelope Austin – Gem

17 Jul

Good bit of dark pop from Penelope. Her new track ‘Gem’ is getting some exposure via Home and Away in Australia this week apparently.
