The Jezabels – The Look Of Love

Another album I’m really looking forward to in February is The Brink by those rockin’ Aussies The Jezabels. Here’s their new single The Look Of Love.

The Pierces – Kings

The Pierces are back with a gorgeous new track, Kings, taken from their forthcoming album due in June. Their sound has evolved and there are more electronic textures here than on the last album.

Kylie – Into The Blue

Here’s the lyric video with the real thing to follow shortly. I wasn’t completely hooked in the way I usually am with a Kylie lead single, however the chorus has claimed me now and I’m loving it!!

Chelsea Lankes – Ghost

One of my favourite songs from the past 6 months is now complete with video and it’s every bit as gorgeous as the tune. Enjoy and well done Chelsea

Warpaint – Biggy

Am slowly succumbing to the 2nd album from Warpaint. It’s a claustrophobic, intense, uncomfortable listen but totally mesmeric and I am becoming hooked.

Bright Light Bright Light and Ana Matronic – West End Girls

Cannot wait to see what new music Rod brings us in 2014. A new album is on the cards and to tide us over here’s a free download of his cover of the PSB classic, duetting with the always foxy Ms Matronic from Scissor Sisters. Got my tickets for Rod’s London gig on April 4th – a great night is guaranteed.

MØ – Don’t Wanna Dance

More great pop tuneage from Denmark’s Mo, taken from her soon to be released debut album. This is definitely her most commercial cut yet and adds to the anticipation for the album.

Jenny Lewis – Completely Not Me

Jenny Lewis – Completely Not Me

Rilo Kiley’s frontwoman Jenny Lewis is for sure one of my top 5 artists of all time. No kidding. She has the most spellbinding back catalogue of albums with RK, a wonderful album as part of Jenny and Johnny with Johnathan Rice as well as two gorgeous solo albums. Looks like solo album number 3 is on the way in 2014 and amongst others she has been working with Ryan Adams, another of my all time favourite artists. Here’s a new track, featured on the 2nd Girls soundtrack album.
