We first became aware of Juanita Tippins through her work as 50% of Confection – the Aussie boogiemasters also featuring friend of Teases & Dares, Mr Joshua Beagley. Juanita positively oozes funk and she’s got plenty to go around on her new EP ‘Nita’. We were immediately drawn to the 5 minute long freakout jam that is ‘Red Shoes’. A quick chat over socials with Juanita had her telling us that ‘Red Shoes’ positively pops off in a live setting. Heck we were getting down on the train earlier whilst listening on our phone on the way home from London so we can only imagine how infectious this would be in a concert venue. We know international touring is tricky for so many artists right now but we’d sure get in the queue to see Juanita if she ever makes it over here. ‘Nita’ is out now on Personal Best.
