As fans of the record label Born Losers we ear marked this new release when it dropped on Friday. It’s safe to say there was NOTHING which could compare to this amongst the raft of new releases we waded through – talk about standing it out (and in all the right ways). This is a quite simply stunning way to announce yourself Hospital Gown and we are lacking the words to make comparisons to other acts which is a rarity for us. We can’t and won’t pigeon hole ‘Everyone Has A Plan Until They Get Punched In The Mouth’ but we will say it’s the biggest pop song we’ve heard in some time. Indeed it combines so many pop styles into one powerful wallop and all done with a cheeky grin and a cunning wit – both literary and a complete earworm at once. An album ‘Diamond Life 2’ will arrive in November.
