The Midnight featuring Nikki Flores – Because The Night

Synthwave kings The Midnight have finally put their ‘Horror Show’ EP up on all platforms. Patti Smith’s ‘Because The Night’ has been covered by many an act and we weren’t quite sure how The Midnight would approach it but we need not have worried. Tyler and Nikki blend their vocals to beautiful effect (we still have such fond memories of being lucky enough to see Nikki join the band on stage at one of their Scala gigs in London a couple of years back) and of course there’s some super sax play. All in all they have kept in subtle and classy – but with trademark Midnight synth-induced nostalgia in built.
