About this time in 2022 we announced Pensacola Mist’s ‘Lost In Love’ as our album of the year. It’s been the gift that has kept on giving in 2023. It was, therefore, with a deep reaching sadness that we read the band’s post on socials earlier this week confirming they are going on hiatus. In the raw and honest post Dan described the frustrations and disappointments involved in trying to get traction for a new musical act. We broke just a little reading those words and if we could reach out and wrap our arms around the three band members we sure would right now. The post did offer some hope, providing the band can recharge their batteries and get their mojos back.
We sure don’t want this song we are sharing today to be the last time we hear Melissa’s beguiling voice on a new piece of music. This post is a love letter to Pensacola Mist. Guys, whenever you are ready please know Teases and Dares will be here for you. And if there is no more to come then we want to thank you beyond any words we can type for being our soundtrack to the past 24 months. You’re legends the three of you. For now, readers please enjoy this collaboration with All The Damn Vampires and Andy James – it’s stunning of course.
