This sunny weather always makes us lean towards brassy acid jazz. It’s nice to have something new in this genre to listen to and Izo Fitzroy and Sam Redmore have delivered a collaboration which is fresh and essential. ‘Chasing Days’ is taken from Izo’s recent ‘A Good Woman’ album with Sam’s rework adding funky good vibes (we can’t help but think of Incognito and Driza Bone hearing this) – perfect for our newly created Summer Vacation playlist. We’ve spotted that Izo is playing a gig on 1 July in as good as our back garden – this being the John Peel Centre in Stowmarket, Suffolk. Going to do what we can to make that one.
