The Phenomenal Handclap Band – It Was The Summer (Each Other Remix)

Sit back, put your headphones on and brace yourself for seven minutes and forty-two seconds of sonic bliss. There is so much happening as this track reveals itself. There’s some of Bunny X’s sci-fi retrowave with hints of Depeche Mode and Goldfrapp’s electro attitude all accompanied by the most bubblicious acid squelch to the synths. The word epic gets thrown around quite liberally but this truly is. Each Other’s remix is frankly a musical space odyssey masterpiece to soundtrack the end of the world and we can’t stop listening. Indeed we’ve nabbed a copy of the vinyl for this one – it’s out now on the Razor-N-Tape label (it’s a no brainer of a purchase – there’s even a Prins Thomas Diskomiks of ‘Burning Bridges’!). Pretty darn certain this is placing very highly in our remixes of the year rundown in 9 months time.
