It’s always nice to jump on board with an act early on. You get a feeling of smugness knowing you’ve found something special that the world is soon about to wake up to. That’s the emotion we’re getting from the musical sunshine beamed our way via Daytrip’s ‘Golden Days’. We could sure do with some solar power in the UK right now and this tune is the next best thing thanks to this Aussie pair. A warm and hazy indie disco groove with laid back vocals and a rocking guitar solo make this a joy from start to finish. If you enjoyed Say She She’s psych-disco album last year then Daytrip’s debut single is the one for you.
