It’s time for another catch up on the best and freshest remix action.
It’s been all quiet on the Nina front in terms of releases but we know she’s been over in L.A with Kid Moxie getting things ready for their joint project. Plus it’s no secret that Nina and Ricky Wilde have been beavering away behind the scenes on some stunning new tunes (and we mean STUNNING). To tide us over there’s a Makeup & Vanity Set remix of ‘I’ll Wait’ – which sounds even spookier than the original which is probably the point as the tune comes from a vampire movie! It’s an other worldly delight.
Our new faves Axner are really getting the most out of their ‘Got The Look’ single. We have been fully immersed in the original version as well as the Al Kent remix. Now we have Mozambo’s exotic funk workout to add to the mix.
Heidrunna’s ‘Melodramatic’ album is an under the radar pop diamond from earlier this year. ‘Love Don’t Come Easy’ morphs into ‘planningtomakeloveeasy’ thanks to Planningtorock who always smashes it out of the park. We’re still hearing Aneka’s ‘Japanese Boy’ but covered by Annie on one of her more dancefloor ready moments.
We’re not entirely sure we recall Lime’s 1983 single ‘Angel Eyes’. That said we love all things Tiga and his take is seven minutes of techno throb meets 80s new wave.
