It’s been a while since we did one of these nifty and rather efficient remix round ups and as the weather is proving a little dullsville we thought you might appreciate some uplifting bangers.
I mean you can’t go wrong with a bit of Dimitri From Paris. He hasn’t strayed too far from the original disco gold that is Bohannon’s ‘Let’s Start To Dance Again’ (the title of this one appears interchangeable!) but it’s a tad beefier and really thumps along. There’s a gorgeous reissue vinyl of this on the way which we will be snapping up quick sticks. Apols there’s no Bandcamp/Soundcloud for this.
Keeping with the disco divinity, Purple Disco Machine has provided what might be the definitive version of Lizzo’s ‘About Damn Time’. Again, it’s not a million miles away from the single version but sparkles and glitters in many valued added ways!
Francesca e Luigi keep bringing the bops and our fan club stamp is pretty much permanent now. Paul Rein takes ‘Watch Me Dance Tonight’ into dark Euro throbber territory – one to strut across the nightclub to.
Barely a month passes by without an appearance of Rebecca & Fiona on these here pages. Tigers & Woods’ Italovision rework of the ladies’ recent collaboration with Lili & Susie is the perfect track to go to after the Francesca e Luigi tune. A smart little continuation by us!
