We’ve been raving about this Aussie songstress for the longest time. She has at least a fistful of sparkling bops in her armoury. Her latest, ‘Crumble’ may be the biggest pop moment of her career so far and that’s saying something with the quality of her previous singles. At T&D we love a straightforward no nonsense pop vocal and GENES delivers again in this area. The slightly 80s synths bubble and pulse and work just as well when stripped to a gentle throb as they do when going full pelt. A pop star!
