Shannen James & Paul Dempsey – Fashionably Late (Every New Year’s Day)

If there had been a Christmas disco at a high school in a John Hughes 80s Brat Pack movie then we are sure Shannen and Paul’s dreamy new duet would have been playing. Hints of Madonna’s ‘Crazy For You’ and even Phil Collins and Marilyn Martin’s ‘Separate Lives’ but with the late night indie noir feel of The Paper Kites thrown in for good measure. That all makes for a knockout song.
