Geoffrey O’Connor – Foolish Enough (featuring Laura Jean)

We jumped on this one after noticing Laura Jean’s involvement. Her ‘Devotion’ album is a gem and one track from it – ‘Northerly’ – is outright one of the best songs of the past five years. We also hold dear Geoffery O’Connor’s ‘Fan Fiction’ record from back in 2014. Coming together these two mega talents have produced a dreamy slice of sophistipop recalling The Blow Monkeys and Prefab Sprout – quite lovely. Geoffrey is also a very talented video director, evident again on the accompanying visuals for this – in love with those gorgeous nocturnal pink hues. His new album ‘For As Long As I Can Remember’ arrives in August and is set to feature another T&D fave in the shape of Sui Zhen.
