Telenova – Bones

18 Apr

New obsession! Stumbled across this one on the Triple J Unearthed Spotify playlist (always an excellent source of new music). NME Australia recently told the story of how Telenova came to be – it was via a songwriting camp organised by Chris Walla from Death Cab For Cutie! 33.3% of the trio is none other than Joshua Moriarty from Miami Horror – who we love to pieces. Edward Quinn from Slum Sociable and the stunning vocalist Angeline Armstong make up the outfit. ‘Bones’ is quite the way to announce themselves. Their Insta/Twitter blurb says “cinema for your ears” and they’re not wrong. We’re getting Rilo Kiley, Ainslie Wills and Lydia Ainsworth from this cracking debut.
