Astrid S – Airpods/Hits Different

It’s always a relief when a new(ish) artist finally gets to release a full length album. So many seem to have a string of singles and maybe the odd EP but never make it to album territory. Astrid S, we are pleased to say, has managed to navigate this and yesterday saw the release of her ‘Leave It Beautiful’ collection. It might win the award for shortest album of the year – 7 of the 10 tracks come in under 3 minutes – the stunner we have picked for you barely makes it past 2 but it’s so good we’ll overlook the duration! ‘Airpods’ is The 411’s ‘Dumb’ (remember them?) meets Dagny/Carly R-J. We’re also loving ‘Hits Different’ – another big bop.
