Sonny Grin & Kats – Joy Dive/Night Drive

Here’s two talented Aussie musicians we just discovered thanks to the incredible Triple J Unearthed site. We’ve lost count of the gems we’ve enjoyed ahead of the curve thanks to them. These fellas have a new two track collaborative single with two contrasting but also still consistent sounds. ‘Joy Dive’ is electronic but with hints of the James Taylor Quartet (a touch acid jazz-ish therefore and disco flecks too). ‘Night Drive’ is the jazzy, later into evening chill out jam. Both are exemplary. And just look at the flippin’ artwork – lush.
