Lizzy McAlpine – Over-the-Ocean Call (Andrew)

We’re taking the pace down a tad with this one. ‘Over-the-Ocean-Call (Andrew)’ starts in a very chilled, acoustic and mellow way before flipping on it’s head with a brief Fiona Apple-like wall of sound, at around 2:45 in, as we segue into what feels like a part two (‘Andrew’ being the part two). It’s hard to guess from the lyrics whether it’s a break and make up scenario or a thank u, next situation (Andrew being the next?). Either way, it’s genius storytelling and song structuring.
