Kim Wilde – Chequered Love (Matt Pop Extended Version)

2020 is the year of Dame Kim – she’s turning 60, releasing a Greatest Hits collection, touring left right and centre and on top of all that the first three albums have just been reissued in very deluxe formats by Cherry Red. On those reissues we get previously unreleased tracks, demos, DVDs, remixes and all manner of other goodies. An example of one of those remixes is this very true to the 80s take on ‘Chequered Love’ by Matt Pop, which smooths off some of the rock edges of the track for a bigger, energised, power pop feel.
