Eva – Honeycomb

“Sick of being sweet, sick of showing teeth” is the opening gambit from Eva’s newest RnB friendly pop nugget which sets out her stall very clearly – this woman would much rather be considered a hurricane (and nothing’s getting in her way say the lyrics). ‘Honeycomb’ wouldn’t sound out of place on a Mariah album although her vocals actually recall Cathy Dennis (see previous single ‘Cry’ which could totally be lifted from Cathy’s ‘Move To This’ classic album). There’s plenty of bite on this track despite the sweetest melody you’ll hear today. Very excited for the EP which will follow soon.
