DJ Suzy – Digital Girl/Caught By A Wind

So we’re calling it, DJ Suzy might be our favourite musical discovery of 2024. A few weeks ago we stumbled across the glitchy synth stabbing ‘Digital Girl’ which is a certified bop of the hypnotising variety. We did not expect the new single ‘Caught By A Wind’ to demonstrate such a seismic sound shift from the previous track. It’s truly addictive and mesmerising. Isolated piano gives way to guitar before both yield to bubbling and chaotic synths which swell then fade out to a whisper – this feels like a stone cold classic already (and the track seems to share musical DNA with Shawn Colvin’s ‘84,000 Different Delusions’ which we LOVE). A new Scandi star is born.
